Went to UNO on a running scholarship, gained All American status in the 800 and 1600 m relay, graduated in '87 with an El. Teaching degree. Got married to Pat Howell (class of '82) in '87 and had Amber in '91 and Kiel in '95. In '98, I went back to college at UNL and got a K-12 Art Teaching degree. Inducted into the UNO Hall of Fame in '99. I taught at Parkview Christian School in Lincoln for 9 years, then taught at a public school for 3 years in Pender, NE and am currently teaching art in Cambridge, NE. Eventually want to go back and get my masters in art education.

Ran track and cross country all my years in high school, was part of M-club and Nat'l Honor society. Lived for spirit days and loved roaming the halls with my friends...and of course ART CLASS -my favorite class! Wasn't part of the "in" crowd, but "one of the guys" to the cross country team since I was kind of Tom-boyish and athletic. Loved annual class, hated math class. My very best friends were Annata (Hock) Sullivan, Lori (Ruffing) Holloman, and Sharriea Messersmith - still are!
