Obituary of Phillip E. Runyan
Phillip E. Runyan, age 77, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at his home in Eldon.
Phillip was born May 18, 1943 in Oberlin, Kansas, the son of Dareld and Arlene (Lauver) Runyan.
On April 5, 1970, he was united in marriage to Linda Martens in Arapahoe, Nebraska. They shared 50 years together at the time of his passing.
Phillip was a member of Christ the King Church. He enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing. He also liked to read and enjoyed taking photographs. His most treasured time was spent with his family.
Phillip is survived by his wife Linda Runyan of the home; sons Phillip Runyan II and wife Rachel of Blue Hill, Nebraska and Patrick Runyan of Gulf Breeze, Florida; daughters Melissa Edgar and husband Larry of Blue Hill, Nebraska and Patricia Deterding and husband Shawn of Terrell, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and sisters Phyllis Bacon and husband Dave of Kearney, Nebraska, Rita Fuchs of Oxford, Nebraska, and Carol Jean Voss of Cambridge, Nebraska.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents Dareld and Arlene Runyan.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 31, 2020 at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Lake Ozark, Missouri. The family will welcome friends for visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 am on Friday, July 31, 2020 at the church prior to services.
Interment will be held at Lake Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Osage Beach, Missouri.
Full Military Honors will be provided by the United States Military.
