Margreta Ann Husted
MARGRETA ANN (SCHLUETER) HUSTED September 8, 1913 – September 16, 2002 Margreta was born to Otto and Emma (Gerths) Schlueter in Fremont, Nebraska. She was graduated from Fremont High School and received a B.S. degree in Education from the University of Nebraska, Kearney in 1940. She taught mathematics and chemistry in McCook, Nebraska, Tulare, California and Hollister, California. She received a Masters degree from San Jose State University and went on to teach chemistry at the College of San Mateo from 1956 to 1976. Her students remember her as an outstanding teacher. A resident of Modesto, Margreta lived in Burlingame from 1956 until August of this year. She is survived by her husband Norman Husted, a long-time almond rancher in the Hickman area, a sister Laura (Eddie) Lasley, step-daughters Virginia Husted and Marilyn (Husted) Green, a niece Beatta (Jim) Godfrey, three nephews Henry Schlueter, Richard Lasley and Tom Schlueter, several great nieces and nephews and her favorite Dachshund Tricky Woo. Gifts in Margreta’s memory may be made to the Peninsula Humane Society in San Mateo. Final arrangements have been made through the Neptune Society.
