Stephen Hieb
Stephen P. Hieb of Pilgrim Place died Sunday, January 31, 1982 at the Pomona Valley Community Hospital.
Memorial services will be held tomorrow (Thursday) at 3:30 p.m. at the Kingman Chapel, Claremont United Church of Christ, Congregational.
Mr. Hieb was born in 1900 in Ceylon where his parents were missionaries. He was graduated from Union Theological Seminary, New York, after which he and his wife worked as managers of the Sholapur Criminal Tribes Settlement in India for 13 years. He then served Congregational churches in Nebraska, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
He came to Pilgrim Place in 1975. He married Mrs. Marie Fairbank in 1976.
He leaves 2 daughters from his first marriage and 10 grandchildren.
Donations in his memory may be given to the Pilgrim Place Health Services Center.
