The McCook Tribune, McCook NE, Monday, Jul 15, 1918, pg 1:

"Mrs. Floyd Morosic's Passing Most Pathetic. Funeral Yesterday Afternoon Was Largely Attended by Sympathizing friends.

"In all human experience for the tenderness of pathos and sternness of tragedy few grip the heart and sympathy with greater power than the saddening circumstances attending the passing of Mrs. Floyd Morosic, last Thursday night, at the home of her parents in our city at 11 o'clock. It all was a startling and depressing surprise to a host of friends in city and country.

"The facts of the funeral held at the home of her parents Sunday afternoon indicate as far as it is humanly possible the appeal the sad affair has made upon the sympathies of the people: There was a large attendance, the flowers were superb in beauty and lavish in quantity, and nothing was lacking to soften the burden of sorrow.

"Eunice Ford Morosic was born in McCook, March 12, 1896, and passed away in this city, at the home of her parents Engineer and Mrs. Ellis Ford, July 11, 1918. Departed was married to Floyd Morosic, May 2, 1917. After being graduated from the McCook high school with the class of 1914, departed taught school in country districts of our county for two terms previous to her marriage. Funeral services occurred Sunday afternoon at the Ford home, interment following in Longview cemetery.

"The babe was buried with the mother.

"A sweet spirit and charming personality has gone on into the spirit land all too soon, leaving a fragrant memory. The bereaved husband, parents and family have the profoundest sympathy of all in this deep sorrow.

"Relatives and friends from out of city were present as follows: Mrs. E. E. Morey of Chadron, a sister; Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Shearstof of Brighton, Colo.; Mrs. W. W. Rockwood, a sister of Mr. Ford, and Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Rockwood and daughter Rita, of Curtis; Mr. and Mrs. G. B. Carr of Bloomington; Walter S. Bales of Ravenna.

"The pall bearers were members of the class of 1914: Misses Izora Rolfe, Martha Suess, Marjorie Schobel, Helen Kunert, Helen Thompson, Pearl Lawritson.

"The music was provided by a ladies' quartet of the Christian church, Mrs. R. C. Warner, Miss Ione Potter, Miss Ada Heskett and Miss Gertrude Connor."
