The Oklahoman, Saturday, Jan 28, 1950: Services for Frank Austin Rittenhouse, 65, of 416 NW 21, will be at 3:30 pm Monday in St Luke's Methodist Church with Rev John R. Abernathy officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Mausoleum.

Rittenhouse was born in Aurora, NE, was a member of the legal firm of Austin Rittenhouse, John F. Webster, Walter Hanson, and Olive R. Rittenhouse, sister of Austin.

Receiving his law degree from the University of Missouri in 1908, he entered practice in Chandler. He moved to Oklahoma City in 1921 and practiced in partnership with his brother, the late George B. Rittenhouse.

The Oklahoma City attorney's Masonic orders included the Blue Lodge in Chandler; York Rite, OKC; Scottish Rite, Guthrie. He received the 33rd Degree in October 1921. He was a member of the Indian Temple of the Shrine, Royal Order of Jesters, Royal Order of Scotland, Red Cross of Constantine. He was a master of Kadosh in the Guthrie Consistory and grand orator of the grand lodge of the AF&AM.

Rittenhouse belonged to the First Presbyterian Church, Men's Dinner Club, OKC Golf & Country Club, OKC Pond of Blue Goose International, Sequoyah Club, OKC Chamber of Commerce, Oklahoma and County Bar Associations, and the Oklahoma Club.

His son, F. Austin Jr, was associated with the firm until the war. He is an analyst in the South American Division of the State Department in Washington DC.

Survivors are his wife, Alma H.; his son; a daughter, Mrs J. W. Lamb, Wynne, AR; a brother, Robert R., OKC lawyer; his sister, Olive R. Rittenhouse, 2303 N. Walker and three grandchildren. The family requests that no flowers be sent and that instead donations be made to the Polio Fund. The body will lie in state Sunday at Hahn Funeral Home.
