     CALDWELL — Rosary for Roy J. Schneider, 63, of 2363 Independence, Caldwell, who died Monday in Brownsville, Tex., will be recited at 8:30 p.m. today at Flahiff Chapel. Requiem of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Caldwell, by the Rev. Dennis Wassmuth. Interment will be in Canyon Hill Cemetery.

     He was born Nov. 7, 1913, at Hays Center. Neb., and was reared and educated at McCook, Neb. On July 26, 1933, he married Elizabeth G. "Bettie" Swallow, in Shenandoah. Iowa. They lived there until 1937 when they moved to Pico Rivera, Calif., where he worked for the Union Pacific Railroad.

     They transferred to the Nampa Union Pacific yards in 1954. where he was a switchman. They lived in Caldwell and he retired in August 1973. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

     Surviving are his wife. Caldwell; four sons, James L., Rupert. David D., Caldwell, and Bruce A. and John T., both Nampa; two daughters, Mrs. Kay Brown, Nampa, and Mrs. Sally Book, Boise; a brother, Robert, Valley City, N.D.; a half-brother, Charles McKillip, Klamath Falls, Ore.; two sisters, Mrs. Leona Remington, Whittier, Calif., and Mrs. Clara Mittell, Cambridge, Mass.; two half-sisters, Mrs. Mary Pepper. McCook, and Mrs. Marjorie Ploussard, Denver, Colo., and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 16 brothers and sisters. Memorials may be made to the March of Dimes.
