During his marriage to his first wife, Stella I. Okerson Cook, in 1929 he managed a store in Herndon, Kansas.
His WWII Registration card 1942 shows that he is working as a plumber in Cheyenne.
At the time of his death in Cheyenne , WY he is listed as a retired plumber.
There are newspaper articles showing he was in McCook Nebraska during a sickness and that his daughter, Phyllis Ann Longhagen, stayed with him in Cheyenne for a time.
According to his widow, Ruby's obituary, they were married in 1958. Her obituary and his Wyoming State Death record are sources.
As of March 2025 no obituary has been found for him.
