March 24, 1946-May 22, 2008  

 

LONGMONT, Colo. -- Charles Wayne Brown, 62, of Longmont, died Thursday (May 22, 2008), at Applewood Living Center.

 

He was born March 24, 1946, in Oberlin, to Charles and Mildred (Bailey) Brown. He grew up in McCook.

He came to Longmont from McCook in 1972.

 

On Aug. 11, 1973, he married Pamela Fixsen in Goodland, Kan.

 

He was a construction worker and then an anodizing foreman at Waddles Manufacturing until he took disability retirement in the late 1990's.

 

He was a member of LifeBridge Christian Church, Longmont Elks Club where he was a Chaplain, and a regular volunteer at the Longmont Theatre Company. He was named "Resident of the Month" three times at Applewood Living Center.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

 

Survivors include his daughter, Aimee Woods and her husband, Jeremy of Loveland; three brothers, Peter James Brown, Michael Brown and Isaac Brown; a sister, Patricia Chilson; and his former wife, Pamela Brown.

Funeral Services were at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Interment followed at the Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the LifeBridge Christian Church Music Ministry and sent to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
