Dale Allen - Class Of 1947

Dale Franklin Allen, 64, of Northglenn, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 1993, at St. Anthony Hospital in Westminster.
Funeral will be 11 a.m.,Tuesday, Nov. 16, at Chaney Walters Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Paulison officiating.
Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
Mr. Allen was born in McCook,Neb., to Cassie T. and Martha
Ruth Turner Allen on July 2,1929.
He was raised in McCook and graduated from high school there in 1947. He then attended McCook Junior College for two years.
Mr. Allen started working for Burlington Northern Railroad, making runs out of McCook, Sterling and Denver. He was a BN employee for 42 years, retiring in 1991 as an engineer.
He married Julene Chaney in McCook on Sept. 3, 1950. The couple first lived in McCook, moving to Northglenn where they have resided since 1960.
Mr. Allen is survived by his wife, Julene of Northglenn; a daughter, Debra Nilsen of Arvada; three sons, Thomas and wife Barbara of Logan, Iowa, Steve and wife Cindy and Mike and wife Holli, all of Thornton; three sis ters, June Huffman of McCook, Jane Lyons of North Platte, Neb., and Joanne Inglis of Broomfield; a brother, Don of McCook; brothers-in-law, Russ Chancy of Sterling and Paul Chancy of Kearney, Neb.; sisters-in-law, Arlene Williams of Colorado Springs and Maxine Chancy of Denver; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
