Lucile L. Monzon, 74, of McCook, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2003, at Community Hospital of McCook in McCook, Nebraska.

 

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m., to 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 9 and 9:00 to 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 10, at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook. The rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 9, at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook. Memorials may be made to the family in her memory. Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook is in charge of the arrangements.

 

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 10, at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Brethour officiating. Burial will be in the St. Patrick Calvary Cemetery, McCook, Nebraska.

 

Lucile L. Musgrave was born August 1, 1929, in Danbury, the daughter of Floyd and Thelma (Clayton) Musgrave. She graduated from McCook High School in 1947. She married Angel Monzon on October 19, 1946, in McCook. Angel preceded her in death in January 1981. She was a member of the Saint Patrick's Catholic Church and Altar Society.

 

Surviving are two daughters, Linda (Roger) Atkeson of North Platte and Frances (Dick) Simmonds of Loveland, CO; three sons, Paul (Eva) Monzon of Lincoln, Jim (JaVonna) Monzon of Lakewood, CO, and Andrew Monzon of McCook; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Lois Musgrave of McCook.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Terry Monzon and one brother, Floyd Musgrave.
