Major Willard J. Teel, US Air Force, Ret. 80, passed away February 18, 2009. Survived by his wife, Betty Irene; children, John, Brian (Eileen) and Susan (Alvin) Garcia; ten grandchildren; three sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his son, Daniel Paul; and one brother. Willard retired from the U.S. Air Force, in 1969, as an instructor and tanker pilot. He served in the Cold War, the Cuban Missile Crisis and the Vietnam Conflict. Willard was a member of the retired Air Force Association, Daedalians, the Smithsonian Air & Space, and the Elks and Legion Clubs. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. A memorial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009, at Christ the King Church, 1708 Horseshoe Dr. Family and friends will be received immediately following the service at the Elks Lodge, 426 N. Willard Jerome Teel Friday, February 20, 2009 March 6, 1928 - Feb. 18, 2009 PUEBLO, Colo. -- Willard Jerome Teel, 80, died Wednesday (Feb. 18, 2009 at Pueblo Hospital. He was born March 6, 1928, at Indianola to Earl and Clara (Hakel) Teel. He graduated from McCook High School and joined the Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Clara Teel, son, Daniel and brother, Wilmer E. Teel. Survivors include his wife, Betty Irene; sons, John Teel of Pueblo, Brian and Eileen Teel of Arvada, Colo.; daughter, Susan Garcia and husband, Alvin of Broomfield, Colo.; sisters, Rosalie Weskamp of McCook, Dorothy Brandt of Lincoln and Evelyn and Larry O'Donnell of Manhattan, Kan.
