Jack Carroll (Aug. 19, 1927 - March 21, 2007) Born in Casper, Wyoming and passed away in Chico, California. Jack's education began at McCook HS (NE) and McCook JC where he was Golden Gloves boxing Champion. Graduated from the Univ. of Nebraska, class of '51, lettered in football, member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. Teacher and head football coach at two high schools, Ogallala HS (NE) for 8 years and Sunnyvale HS (CA) for 14 years. Taught at Lincoln HS (NE) for 16 years until his retirement. Served in the U.S. Navy at end of WW II. Loving Husband, Father, Mentor, and Friend. He will be missed by many whose lives were enriched through his encouragement and positive attitude. Survived by children Michael (Janet) Carroll, Randy (Sue) Carroll, Greg (Kathryn) Carroll, and Becky Imig, older brothers Bus (Ruthanne), Bill (Lee); 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his father, Nova Carroll, mother, Viola Tull Carroll; loving wife of 53 years, Beverly Carroll. A celebration of Jack's life will take place on Saturday, April 14 at 1 p.m. at Wyant & Smith, 174 N. Sunnyvale Ave, Sunnyvale, CA. Memorial donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
