Patricia Louise Dedomenico died Monday, March 2, 2009, at Community Hospital in McCook at the age of 83.

Patricia was born at St. Ann, Neb., on Feb. 6, 1926, the daughter of Robert Sr. and Mary (Braun) Traphagan. After the death of her father in 1939, the family moved into McCook where she attended school. She worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company in McCook. She also worked in Washington D.C. and Orlando, Fla.

She married Raymond Dedomenico in 1958 and they later divorced.

She returned to Colorado, where she lived until she moved to El Dorado Manor Home in Trenton, Neb., in July of 2008.

Patricia was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Kerchal on Oct. 20, 2003; her parents, Robert Sr. and Mary Traphagan; two brothers; six sisters; three nieces; and one nephew.

Patricia is survived by her brothers, Joseph Traphagan and wife, Helen of Sun City West, Ariz., and Robert Traphagan Jr., of Westminster, Colo.; sisters, Alice Storey and husband, Hank of Las Vegas, Nev., and Delores Gettman of McCook; brother-in-law, William Ellett; and son-in-law, Eldon Kerchal.

She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Patrick and wife, Cindy, Michael and Mary Traphagan, Tracy DeDore, Teri Davis and husband, Michael, Mark and Michael Gettman and Julie Gerl and husband, Mark. She also has several great-nieces and nephews, Heather Storey, Robby and Kristina Gerl, Kevin, Jessica, Austin and Tara Traphagan and Jamie and Josh Ackerman.

Pat as she was known by her friends and family was a very caring person, whenever a friend or family member needed help she was always ready to help. She was an avid sports fan, especially the Denver Broncos and Nebraska Huskers. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

The family will meet friends and relatives on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m., at the funeral home.

Rosary will be at 7 p.m., Wednesday at Herrmann Memorial Chapel in McCook.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m., Thursday, March 5, 2009, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in McCook with the Rev. Gary Brethour officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery in McCook.
