CULBERTSON -- Eugene M. Brenning died Saturday, January 14, 1989 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook at the age of 63. He was born November 4, 1925 at McCook, the son of John C. and Katherine (Walters) Brenning.

He grew up in McCook and graduated from McCook High School in 1943.

He entered the United States Navy and served during World War II. He returned to Culbertson where he spent his life farming.

He was a member of Moorhous-Steffen-Propp VFW Post No. 6219, and the Adam Miller American Legion Post No. 133, both of Culbertson.

His parents preceded him in death.

Survivors include two brothers, Kenneth of McCook and Vernon of Culbertson; and two sisters, Lorene Cooley of Fairborn, Ohio, and Irene Goldner of Findlay, Ohio.

Services will be Tues at 10:30 a.m. at the Herrmann Memorial Chapel in McCook with the Rev J.B. Choate officiating. Interment will be in the Culbertson Cemetery. Memorials may be addressed in his name and and left at the funeral home. Herrmann Funeral Home of McCook is in charge of the arrangements.
