Survived a dogfight against 4 ME-109 fighters over Bremen. Decorated fighter pilot in WWII, 2 airmedals with oakleaf clusters, Purple Heart. Served in 8th Airforce, 359th Fighter Squadron, 369th Fighter Group. Is buried in Margratten U.S. Military Cemetary, Netherlands. Attended college in McCook after high school. I am looking for any McCook folks that knew my uncle Bill or my mother Helen Holliday of McCook.
