Alice Elizabeth Corder, 83, died Friday (Nov. 14, 2003) at Community Hospital in McCook.

She was born Dec. 21, 1919, to William J. and Agnes (Sterling) Kennedy in Frontier County. She graduated from McCook High School in 1938.

On May 16, 1941, she married Dale T. Corder in Oberlin. She was a homemaker. The couple lived their married life in the McCook community. For the past 30 years, the couple spent their winters in south lower Rio Grand, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mary Bowlby and Agnes Dack; and one brother, James W. Kennedy.

Survivors include her husband, Dale Corder; two sons, Gary L. Corder and wife, Sharon of Shawnee Mission, Kan., and Larry D. Corder and wife, Pam of Kearney; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services are Tuesday (Nov. 18, 2003) 10:30 a.m., at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home with the Rev. Clark Bates officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation is today until 8 p.m.

Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook is in charge of the arrangements.
