Jessie Markwad (Greene) - Class Of 1931

Jessie Greene passed away Sept. 17, 2004 at the Cheyenne Health Care Nursing Home in Cheyenne, Wyo., after being a life long resident of McCook. She was born May 28, 1914. Jessie's career consisted of being a school teacher at District 8 and an employee of Red Willow County and McCook National Bank, as well as a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the hospital auxiliary, Federated Women's Club and Memorial United Methodist Church. She is survived by her son, Bob and wife, Donna of Centennial Colo., and grandson, Douglas and great-grandson's Jackson and Connon; grandson, Randall and his, wife, Milissa; and three great-grandchildren, Daniel, Emily and Justin. Other survivors include her daughter, Cherryl Thill of Centennial; granddaughter, Ann Pullen and husband, Walt; great-grandchild, Michael; granddaughter, Sue Gallegos and husband, Rod; two great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Kathryn; grandson, William Thill; son, William and wife, Donna of Cheyenne, Wyo.; three grandchildren, Christopher, Andrea, Melissa and Jeremy and wife, Sarah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; brother, Darwin Markwad; and sister, Leo Wendt. Memorials may be given to the Community Hospital Auxiliary. Funeral services are Thursday, 10 a.m., at the Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Jeff Thurman officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
