Evelyn P. Norris, 90, died Tuesday (Jan. 14, 2003) at Community Hospital of McCook. She was born Nov. 3, 1912, in McCook, to Milo and Cordelia (McGuire) Harbaugh. She graduated from McCook High School in 1930. She trained as a telegrapher and worked for the McCook Telegraph Office during World War II. On Feb. 26, 1932, she married Rex Clifton Norris at Oberlin. They spent their married lives in McCook where she worked for the McCook Daily Gazette until retiring. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Rex in 1994. Survivors include two daughters, Carol Ann and husband, Keith Moorhous of Culbertson and Lana Jean and husband, Dr. James Morgan of Omaha; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
