Glenn Milleson - Class Of 1930

NORTH PLATTE -- Glenn L. Milleson, 96, died Sunday (Oct. 8, 2006), at the Sutherland Care Center in Sutherland. He was born Oct. 23, 1909, in Decatur County, Kan., to James N. and Myrtle Baugher Milleson. He grew up in McCook and in 1930 he graduated from McCook High School. On March 24, 1934, he was united in marriage to Hazel J. Hunter in North Platte. She preceded him in death in 1960. In 1940, he moved to North Platte and worked at Reitan Service Company until 1963. He then moved to Mesa, Ariz., and worked in the service department at Berge Ford Motor Company. In 1972, he was united in marriage to Mabel McHugh. She preceded him in death in 1994. He returned to North Platte in 1999. He was a member of the Royal Order of the Moose and active at the Senior Center in Mesa, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his parents; both wives; and a sister, Pansy A. Milleson. Survivors include two sons, Larry Glenn and wife, Sharon Milleson and William James and wife, Colleen Milleson, all of North Platte; a daughter, Bette Lorete and husband, Don James of Hoxie, Kan.; a brother, James J. and wife, Myrna Milleson of Lander, Wyo.; a sister, Virginia Lorraine Fritz of Denver, Colo.; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. Funeral services were today, 1:30 p.m., at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Phillip Hayes of the First Christian Church officiating. Burial will be at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens.
