Lorna Harrison (Hoyt) - Class Of 1954

CUPERTINO, CALIFORNIA -- Lorna Mae (Harrison) Hoyt died Sunday in the O'Conner Hospital, Cupertino, at the age of 49. She was born August 30, 1936 in McCook to Leslie and LaVerne (Maker) Harrison. She grew up in McCook and graduated from McCook High School in 1954 after which she took x-ray training at St. Luke's Hospital, Denver. She was married March 6, 1955 in McCook to Merlin Hoyt, and they farmed southwest of McCook until moving to Valley, Nebraska in 1960. They had made their home in California since 1964. She was employed as an x-ray and nuclear medicine technician at Valley Medical Center in California. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. Her father, Leslie Harrison, preceded her in death. Survivors are her husband, Merlin of Cupertino; one son, Michael of Cupertino; one daughter, Sue Lampman of McCook; one granddaughter; her mother, LaVerne Harrison of McCook; and one sister, Mrs. Sue Jewell of Goleta, California. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Memorial United Methodist Church, McCook with the Rev. Merwyn Davidson officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Herrmann Funeral Home of McCook. Source: The McCook Daily Gazette, January 14, 1986
