Millie Lucille Herbert was born in McCook, NE, to Elmer and Martha (Crapson) Herbert on July 17, 1932. She passed away in Brush, CO, on August 9, 1987 at the age of 55 years and 23 days.
Millie graduated from McCook High School in 1951. She was married to Warren Keen on August 26, 1951 in McCook, Nebraska, and to this union were born four children: Verlyn, Terry, Edward and Cheryl. They made their home in Denver, CO.
Millie moved to Brush and was married to Virgil Daniels on August 10, 1979 at Sterling, CO. They made their home in Brush, CO.
Millie suffered a massive heart attack in September 1986 and had spent the past 11 months in and out of the hospital.
Preceding her in death were her parents, three sisters, Iretta Smith, Wilma Boggs, Ann Winters and one brother, Merle Herbert.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Virgil; four children, Verlyn Keen and wife, Mary, of Denver, CO; Terry Keen and wife Charlotte, Edward Keen and wife, Lea Ann, Cheryl Celestino and husband Marc, all of Brush, CO; five stepchildren, Paul Daniels of Brush, CO, Harvey Daniels of Myrtle Beach, SD, Dale Daniels of Fort Morgan, CO, Donna Kroll of Bailey, CO, and Barbara Rakiec of Blue Springs, MO; stepmother, Alma Herbert of Arapahoe, NE; three brothers, Earl Herbert and wife Lila of Findlay, OH, Harvey and wife Margaret of Arapahoe, NE, and Leroy Herbert of Portland, OR; one sister-in-law Mavis Herbert of Wray, CO; eight grandchildren and 11 step grandchildren, many relatives and friends.
Services were held Thursday (August 13) in Brush with burial in Brush Memorial Cemetery.
