Gladys Yungblut Ricketts Tuesday, October 21, 2008 Aug. 3, 1911 - Oct. 18, 2008 LINCOLN -- Gladys Yungblut Ricketts, 97, died Saturday (Oct. 18, 2008) in Lincoln. She was born Aug. 3, 1911, to Walter and Besse (Rowell) Wright in Windsor, Ontario. She grew up in McCook and attended McCook Junior College. Gladys is survived by daughter, Dona Y. Hurst; daughter-in-law, Maddie Yungblut; grandchildren, Lou and Camilla Hurst, Gwen Hurst-Anderson and husband, Rick Anderson, Amy L. Hurst, Steve and Susan Yungblut; great-grandchildren, Jake Yungblut, Sondra Yungblut, Becca Hurst, Zach Hurst; and nieces and nephews. Gladys was preceded in death by parents; husbands, Donald Yungblut and Dick Ricketts; brother, Walter Wright, sister, Jane Leigh; son, Charles Yungblut;and two grandsons, Don Yungblut and Jim Yungblut. Gladys was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church-Past Elder, Daughters of the Nile-Naphis Temple 66, where she was a 50 plus year member, Past Queen, Eastern Star-Electa Chapter 50 plus year member and PEO chapter FQ-Past President 50 plus year member. She also supported the McCook Community Foundation for many years. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008, at Westminster Presbyterian Chapel 2110 Sheridan Blvd., Lincoln. Cremation/ No Visitation In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army, Peoples City Mission, Westminster Presbyterian Church, Masonic Home Foundation, or Donor's Choice.
