Timothy DeWayne Boyd died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004, at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook. He was 55 years old.

Tim was born on Aug. 10, 1949, in McCook to Harold DeWayne and Dorothy Pauline (Walter) Boyd. He graduated from McCook High School in 1967, McCook Community College and Park's School of Business, Denver, Colo., with a degree in computers.

On May 5, 1973, he married Jennifer Lynn Stineman in Nelson. To this union three children were born. Tim worked with his father at Boyd's Body Shop, later becoming the manager. He also worked for L & L Plumbing and Heating for five years. He retired in 1994 due to his poor health.

He had a love for the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, and boating. He also enjoyed bowling, old cars and working with wood crafts.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Harold and Dorothy; and an infant brother, Russell "Rusty".

Survivors include his wife, Jennifer of McCook; daughter, Carrie and husband, Jon Johnson of McCook; two sons, Eric Boyd of Lincoln and Kevin Boyd of McCook; two granddaughters, Kerisa Boyd of Lincoln and Abigail Johnson of McCook; two sisters, Sandi and husband, James Pettera, of McCook and Sharon Colling of Tecumseh; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.

Funeral service will be Monday, Oct. 4, 2 p.m., at Memorial United Methodist Church in McCook with the Rev. Dr. Jeff Thurman officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation is Saturday until 12 p.m., and Sunday, 4-8 p.m., at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook.
