Theresa Conroy (Walters) - Class Of 1976

DANBURY -- Theresa "Bead Lady" Walters of Danbury died Thursday (Feb. 22, 2007) at her home. She was 49. She was born April 2, 1957, to Thomas and Bertilla (Hickert) Conroy at McCook. She attended grade school at St. Patrick's Catholic School and graduated from McCook High School in 1976. She married Dennis Walters on April 16, 1977, in McCook. She was a cook in several restaurants as well as a homemaker. She enjoyed motorcycling, fishing, drawing, photography, arrowhead hunting, crafts, and her Norman Rockwell plate and picture collection. She loved to tell jokes and talk to everyone with a big smile. She never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bertilla "Bert" on July 7, 2003; brother, Anthony "Tony" on April 19, 2004; grandparents, Laurence and Catherine (Kennedy) Conroy and Al and Amanda (Gilleece) Hickert. She is survived by her husband, Dennis; son, Ryan, both of Danbury; father, Thomas "Tom" Conroy of McCook; brother, Phil Conroy of Lincoln; sisters, Cindy Baumgartner of Edgewater, Colo., Monica Conroy of McCook, Deb Leach and husband, Don of Danbury and Pam Herron and husband, John of McCook; sister-in-law, Beckey Conroy of Scottsbluff; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Memorials may be given in her name. Funeral services will be Monday, 10:30 a.m., at Carpenter Breland Funeral Chapel with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating. Burial will be in the Danbury-Marion Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon and Sunday from 4-8 p.m. Friends may sign her book at the funeral home or send condolences online at www.carpenterbreland.com.
