McCook Daily Gazette - Jul 2, 1997 Debra Sue (Purcell) Stretch, 44, passed away Monday (June 16, 1997) at her residence in Sierra Vista, Ariz. She had been a resident of Sierra Vista for nine months. Debra was born in McCook on May 4, 1953 to Duane and Billye (Deck) Purcell. She served in the US Army during Desert Storm, retiring after 17 years as a Master Sergeant at Fort Huachuca, Ariz. She is survived by her husband, Jason Frye, III, and three children, Jason IV, Jennifer and Jessica, all of Sierra Vista; her mother, Billey and husband, Delbert Deck, of Farmington N.M.: one brother, Michael Purcell and wife, Jackie, of Longmont, Colo.: two sisters, Teresa and husband, David Hartman, of Omaha and Sandy and husband, Bob Scott, of Springville, Calif.; several nieces, nephews and many close friends. Graveside services with full military honors were held June 23, 1997, at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, N.M. The Auxiliary Honor Guard of New Mexico provided the honors.
