Kirby S. Kennedy Thursday, December 20, 2007 June 15, 1947 - Dec. 16, 2007 KEARNEY -- Kirby S. Kennedy, 60, died Sunday (Dec. 16, 2007) at St. John's Good Samaritan Center in Kearney. She was born June 15, 1947, in Hastings to Bud and Betty (Carpenter) Harmon. She grew up in McCook and graduated from McCook High School. On April 20, 1970, she married Bob McPherson in McCook. They lived in Lincoln, where she was a hairdresser. She also lived in Omaha and was employed by the Encor Office on Retardation. She was a member of St. Martin's Episcopal Church in Omaha. She was preceded in death by her brother, Tracy Harmon and sister, Ann Harmon. She is survived by her parents, Bud and Betty Harmon of McCook; sons, Amos McPherson of Corpus Christi, Texas and Zachary McPherson of Kearney; daughter, Chavalan Carpenter and husband, Jeremy of Corpus Christi, Texas; brother, Mike Harmon of McCook; sisters, Theresa Davis of McCook, Jean Hallowell and husband, Terry of McCook, and Linda Boone and husband, Barry of California; and one granddaughter. Memorial services will be 1 p.m., Friday at St. Alban's Episcopal Church in McCook with Rev. Sam Williams officiating. There will be no visitation. The body was cremated.
