Sheri Sidders (Huffmann) - Class Of 1964

Sheri S. Huffman, 57, of  Kearney, NE., died Wednesday, July 9, 2003, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City.
 
She was born May 8, 1946, in Hastings to Robert and Joan (Stonehocker) Sidders.
 
She grew up in Hastings, Colorado Springs, CO.,and McCook. She graduated from McCook High School in 1964.
 
In 1964, she married Joe Meyers. They lived in Hastings. She attended cosmetology school and then operated a beauty shop in her home. She moved to Kearney in 1973 and worked at Kearney Junior High school as a secretary. She later owned and operated the Greyhound Bus Depot and worked at Ruter’s Hallmark.
 
On Feb. 25, 1997, she married Richard Huffman in Las Vegas. They operated Worth Repeating consignment store until they retired in 2002.
 
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Doniphan.
 
She enjoyed decorating, yard work, Bible study and spending time with family. She was an organ donor. 
 
Survivors include her husband; daughters, Debi Auch Moedy of Omaha and Shawna Erbsen of Kearney; six grandchildren; and stepdaughter, Barbara Blue of Skiatook, Ok.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents.
 
Services were at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Kearney with the Rev. Rob Kuefner officiating. Burial was in the Kearney Cemetery.
 
Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army in Kearney.
 
Horner-Lieske-Horner Mortuary in Kearney is in charge of arrangements.
