McCOOK,?Nebraska -- Elaine May Stevens, age 94. of McCook, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Willow Ridge in McCook.

Elaine was born Dec. 12, 1919, in Marion, Nebraska, to John C. and Mina (Drain) Peters. She attended and graduated from McCook High School in 1936.

Elaine married Ralph Stevens on Aug. 9, 1947, in McCook. To this union two daughters were born, Candace and Debra.

Elaine was a busy homemaker who always kept an immaculate home and cooked many wonderful meals for family and friends. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the Bridge Club. Elaine was an avid golfer as well.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph of McCook; two daughters, Candace and husband Ted Fellers of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Debra Stevens of McCook, Nebraska; four grandchildren, Scott and wife, Jenny Fellers of Parker, Colorado, Kylie and husband, Travis Usher of Lincoln, Nebraska, Nathan and wife, Lisa Fellers of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Shannon Stevens of McCook. Also surviving are seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Floyd (Elaine) Peters and Robert (Velma) Peters; and one sister, Evelyn (Carol) Hall.

Memorial services will be Friday March 21, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in McCook.

Memorials are suggested in her name to the Anderson Center for Radiation and Oncology, Community Hospital Health Foundation, 801 West C St., McCook, NE 69001.
