Obituary for Lacey Renee Wilson-Kluender

STANTON – Services for Lacey R. Wilson-Kluender, 46, of Stanton will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk. Pastor Randall Coffin will be officiating the service. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Stonacek Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

She was born January 28th, 1980 to Susan and Wally Wilson at McCook Community Hospital in McCook, NE.

She started Kindergarten in Oberlin, KS and transferred to Indianola Elementary School as a third grader. Lacey started fifth grade in McCook and graduated from McCook High School in 1998. She was active in track and softball during her high school years. Lacey continued her education at McCook Community College and the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

Lacey married her best friend Brandon Kluender on June 15th, 2022 in a coastal ceremony at the Newagen Seaside Inn in Southport, Maine. They lived in Norfolk and later moved to Stanton, NE at the time of her passing.

Lacey was enthusiastic at whatever job she chose. She and Brandon worked as part of the management team opening the business District Table and Tap.

She had a gentle soul and touched many lives with her kindness. Her dogs Auggie, Poppy, Pearl, and Benny brought her endless joy and compassion.

Family was one of the most important parts of Lacey’s life. She enjoyed attending the sporting events of her nieces and nephews. She treasured holidays and time spent together with family and friends.

Lacey and Brandon cherished time together by attending Broadway shows, music concerts, finding great eating places, and just being together. She enjoyed traveling, movies, reading, and country music.

Lacey is survived by her husband Brandon; parents Susan Wilson and Wally Wilson; brother Brady and wife Katy, niece and nephew Nora and Bode; brother Tyler and wife Sydney, nieces Emma and Ryan and nephew Wynn; sister-in-law Maria Zubrod and husband Joe, niece Rowyn; mother-in-law Roberta Kirstine and father-in-law Rick Kluender. Special aunts Charlene Springer and Sandi McLain and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Lacey was preceded in death by grandparents Neal and Norma Elwood, Donolee and Ella Wilson, Juanita Swanson and Joanne Crotty, Uncle Lyle Springer, Aunt Jody Black, Aunt Donella Harney, Uncle David Cobb, and cousin Jayden McLain.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Animal Shelter of Northeast Nebraska, and or Mercy Meals.
