Jennifer Lynn Lukich

Friday, August 16, 2024

Jennifer Lynn Lukich passed away peacefully at home, on August 14, 2024, after a hard-fought battle with lung cancer, surrounded by loved ones. Jennifer was born on April 21st, 1971 in San Francisco CA, and graduated in 1989 from McCook Senior High in McCook Nebraska. She graduated from the University of Kearney in 1993 with a public relations and marketing communications degree. She moved to Denver, and then later to California.

Jen will be remembered for her infectious energy, positivity, beautiful smile, big heart, and free spirit. Jen had a true passion for cooking and was especially brilliant at crafting gluten-free dishes. Given her Celiac condition, it was a necessity, but her food was so delicious that no one could ever tell it was gluten-free! She loved dancing, camping, listening to music, being with her family and friends, and attending hundreds of concerts. She was adored by everyone who met her, never meeting a stranger or making an enemy. Jennifer delighted in hosting get-togethers and parties, especially on holidays, and was always taking care of everyone else, while being the life of the party. Friends called her: “Lil Jen, Super Jen, Chile Chick, music lovin’, queen of the oven, happy sunshine, best cruise director of all time, roller girl, ready for anything in this world, party starter, coordinator extraordinaire and style lady with so much flair!”

Jen’s life was full of adventure, from being an exchange student in Iceland, a nanny in NYC, to her exciting career in Hollywood where she worked for Virgin Records, the Joan Rivers Show, The Fashion Police, MythBusters, The Nanny, and TMZ, among others, and got to know many celebrities. She returned to Denver in 2016, where she met the love of her life, Jimmy Harris. Jen’s nieces and nephew meant so much to her, and she considered them her own kids. Her great nephews and niece were her babies, and she proudly displayed pictures of them to everyone!

Jennifer is survived by her partner Jimmy of Denver CO, mother Patricia Fredde of McCook, sister Christine Kier (Kevin) of Grand Island NE, five step-siblings: Kathy, Monica, Heather, Mark, and David; nieces Tiffani Dea, Tonia Schmall, Emily Kier, Hannah Kier, Kamryn Kier and nephew Leighton Kier, her fur baby Bridget, and countless friends from all over the world. She was loved by many, a brave and beautiful warrior who faced cancer with courage and grace, always smiling through the pain. A bright light in the world has been extinguished, but will never be forgotten. Jen’s love for others and exuberance for life will live on in all who knew her and were impacted by her beautiful, bright spirit.

A celebration of life is being planned for her birthday in Denver, in April of 2025. Memorials can be sent to FNBO 810 Allen Dr. Grand Island NE 68803 ℅ Jennifer Lukich estate. The funds will go towards her cremation and the charities Jen loved: Celiac awareness and Lung cancer research.
