Sherri Baker (Day) - Class Of 1986

 

Sherri Day, 49 of Sidney, Nebraska died Sunday morning, January 17, 2016 at her home in Sidney. 

Cremation has taken place and there will be no local services. Inurnment of her cremains will take place in Florida at a later date.

Sherri Lynn Day, the daughter of Galen and Darlene (Raisch) Baker was born December 10, 1966 in Jacksonville, Florida. As a young child she lived in many different locations as her father served in the U.S. Navy. After his discharge the family settled in McCook, Nebraska where she grew up and received her education, graduating from McCook High School. She moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado where she got married and had three children: Taylor, Courtney and Cassandra. She attended college and became a certified nursing assistant. She worked as a CNA in both hospitals and nursing homes in Colorado Springs. After her divorce, she moved to Sidney. 

Sherri enjoyed fishing, building and shooting off rockets and loved playing bingo. 

Survivors include her mother Darlene Scott of Sidney, NE; one son Taylor Day of Colorado Springs, CO; two daughters: Courtney Hansmann of Sidney, NE and Cassandra Day of Colorado Springs, CO; one brother Roger Baker of Columbus, OH; three grandchildren: Aiden Hansmann, Haven Hansmann and Ryder Bailey; and two nephews: Dylan Baker of Sidney, NE and Devan Baker of Columbus, OH
