FORT COLLINS, Colo. --Janice Irene Keeler, 45, of Fort Collins passed away June 1, 2009.

Janice was born on May 30, 1964, Memorial Day, to Ben and Gail Keeler in Scottsbluff. In 1965, the family moved to McCook, where Janice grew up. She moved to California in 1986 and later to Florida.

In 1991, Janice moved to Fort Collins and attended the Institute of Business and Medical Careers where she graduated as a Medical Assistant with a 4.0 GPA and also with an Office Specialist certificate with a 3.5 GPA. Her years as a Medical Assistant were very rewarding to her. She loved her patients and co-workers and was loved by them.

Janice accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior as a young girl believing in the shed blood of Christ as the only way of salvation and was ready to meet her Lord in heaven.

Janice is survived by her parents, Ben and Gail Keeler of Cheyenne, WY; aunts and uncles, cousins, co-workers and friends.

A memorial service celebrating Janice's life will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 6, at Mountain Range Church, 3601 South Shields in Fort Collins.

In lieu of flowers and plants, the family requests memorial contributions be made to The Voice of the Martyrs (a Christian organization that helps persecuted Christians in other countries) or the Human-Animal Bond at Colorado State University, a training program for therapy dogs, in care of Allnutt Funeral Service, 650 West Drake Road, Fort Collins, CO 80526.
