Mary Cochran Obituary

Mary Kay Cochran

July 13, 1962 - June 30, 2025

Mary Kay Cochran (Harr), passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of June 30th, 2025, after a courageous 22-year battle with cancer.

Mary Kay lived her life with quiet strength, boundless grace, and a heart full of love. She faced every hardship with dignity and resilience, never allowing illness to diminish her spirit or define her journey. Even in the most difficult moments, she continued to show up for the people she loved-with a warm smile, a kind word, and endless generosity.

Born on July 13, 1962, to Don and Margaret Mary (Montgomery) Harr. Mary Kay was a light in the lives of so many. Her compassion ran deep. She gave of herself freely, whether through comforting words, acts of kindness, or simply being present for those in need. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister and aunt, a proud grandmother, a cherished friend, and a woman of faith.

Her legacy lives on in the lessons she taught, the values she upheld, and the deep love she poured into her family. She leaves behind her husband Steve; son Brian and wife Jordan Cochran; along with grandchildren Hunter, Huston, Elle and Hendrex; daughter Courtney Harris, husband O'Neal and granddaughter Asya; son Colton and wife Amanda Cochran; brother Greg and Sue Harr; brother Steve Rapatz-Harr; brother Chris and Amy Harr; sister Peggy and Bryant Brooks; sister Betsy and Brad Fornoff; brother in-law Brad and Melanie Cochran; sister in-law Lori and Jim Stull; sister in-law Karen Cochran and many nieces and nephews. All who will carry her memory and spirit forward.

Though we are heartbroken by her passing, we take comfort in knowing she is finally at peace-free from pain, embraced by love, and reunited with those who went before her. She was preceded in death by her parents Don and Margaret Mary (Montgomery) Harr; her sister in-law Jenny Rapatz Harr; her mother and father in-law Harley and Norma Cochran.

Rest peacefully. Your love will guide us always.
