September 9, 1961 - April 28, 2026
Lynda L. Kreutzer, 64, of Hastings went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family.
Celebration of life gathering will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Peace Lutheran Church in the Life Center.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2026 at Peace Lutheran Church in the Life Center. Pastor Carl Eliason will officiate. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. Memorials are suggested to Project Pink’d, 12165 Pacific St., Omaha, NE 68154 or her grandchildren’s school, Christ Lincoln Schools, 4325 Sumner St., Lincoln, NE 68506.
Lynda was born on September 9, 1961, in McCook, NE, daughter of Kermit and Charlene Arterburn.
Lynda grew up in McCook and graduated from McCook High School and McCook Community College. She earned her Education Degree from Kearney State College.
On October 10, 1987, Lynda married David Kreutzer and they were blessed with children, Jacob and Emma. Lynda became a constant and loving presence in many Grand Island families as she cared for many children during her 30 years of home daycare.
She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church family. Lynda spent many vacations with other church members and friends. She was bright and creative, she made numerous baptism gowns, fabric flowers and mints for weddings, detailed cookies and cupcakes for any celebration, and vacation bible school crafts. Big craft projects would include Dave or other family that was in reach. Her family found comfort in her cooking, especially her chicken noodles and mashed potatoes. Lynda had a permanent place in the crowd cheering on her family in all their activities, often with a cowbell. Lynda enjoyed giving thoughtful gifts for all occasions. To meet Lynda was to make a friend for life.
Her memory is cherished by her husband, David Kreutzer of Hastings; son, Jacob and Heather Kreutzer; daughter, Emma and Josh Sugita all of Lincoln; grandchildren that lovingly called her Lolli, Booker and Kealey Kreutzer and Everlea and Camden Sugita; mother, Charlene Arterburn of McCook; brother, Tom (Cindi) Arterburn of McCook; sisters, Deb Winchell of York and Chris (Randy) Zwickle of McCook; half-sister, Becky Bailey of OR; mother-in-law, Sharon Kreutzer; brother-in-law, Richard (Carol) Kreutzer; sisters-in-law, Nancy (Bryan) Hanson and Susan (Lyle) Wurst; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren, and friends.
Lynda was preceded in death by her father, Kermit Arterburn; infant daughters, Amelia and Rachel; brother, Dan Arterburn; brother-in-law, Jim Winchell; father-in-law, Ron Kreutzer.
