Raymond John Real, Jr., formerly of McCook, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Valley Baptist Hospital in Harlingen, TX after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was 60 years old.

Ray and his twin sister, Rebecca, were born on September 24, 1957 at McCook to parents, Raymond John and Anita Mae (Crooks) Real, Sr.  He attended McCook schools.

On January 1, 2001 he was united in marriage to Beverly Yost in San Benito, TX.  Ray worked for Heart of America Carnival, traveling and working throughout the Midwest fairs.  He had a strong work ethic and devotion for bringing fun to young and old alike for the past 27 years until his health prevented him from working.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Raymond and Anita Real, Sr.; and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly of Harlingen; sons, Brandon Brott of Indianola and Donald Real of Texas; twin sister, Rebecca “Becky” and husband, Dennis Decker, of McCook and sister, Amy and husband, Joe Fipps of Oklahoma; nieces and nephews, Kyle Pinkal and fiancé, Sammie, of Hildreth, Timarie and husband, Travis Messersmith, of Wallace, Shane Pinkal and wife, Tracie, of Holdrege, Christina of Lincoln and D.W. Willis and wife of Germany; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and all of his carnival family.

The family requests casual wear for the service.
