John Francis Coyle Jr.

John Francis Coyle, Jr. was born on March 24th 1958 in McCook, Nebraska to John Francis and Alice (Jewell) Coyle. Following several weeks in the hospital making sure his lungs were fully developed he came home to the farm in Frontier County. He was baptized in Quick Garden Prairie Methodist Church just a few miles from home. It was known almost from when he knew how to talk that John could strike up a conversation with anyone he met. He never met a stranger. Attending Ash Grove District 90 then Medicine Valley, followed by McCook High School, he graduated in 1976.

John loved animals, enjoyed playing baseball, was very active in 4-H, participating in distance running sports and FFA while in High School. He trained as a diesel mechanic at North Platte Community College and worked in various states including Nebraska, Colorado, Utah, Arizona and Ohio. He worked at other jobs at different times; welding, farming, he even tried out his running shoes in the arena as a rodeo clown.

In 1981 he married Tammie Archer in Ogallala, Nebraska. Sadly, she died in a devastating accident in 1984. He experienced the joy and the pain of two additional marriages each ending in divorce.

A fire in the night ended John's life on September 29, 2021 in Sutherland, Nebraska.
