Jay D. Buckley
Jay D. Buckley, 67, passed away at Kenesaw, NE on Thursday, February 05, 2026. Jay was born on August 07, 1958, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska the son of Lewis I. and Delores R. (Pinske) Buckley. He graduated from McCook High School.
He was united in marriage to Monica Carmona on April 17, 2010, in Medellin, Colombia. They made home in Cambridge, Nebraska where Jay was employed as Maintenance Technician at the Tri Valley Health System hospital for 16 years until his health prevented him from working.
In his youth, Jay loved scuba diving, playing pool and traveling. He also enjoyed engraving and listening to rock music (AC/DC) and the outdoors.
Survivors include: his wife Monica, his stepson Santiago Giraldo; 3 sisters, Cathy Jones and husband Warren, McCook, Janelle Stoller and husband Jeff, Linn Creek, Missouri; and Tamara Scott, McCook.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother Richard D. Buckley; brother David L. Buckley; nephew, Nathanial Buckley.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, February 20, 2026, at Metcalf Funeral Home, 245 N. 27th Street, Lincoln, NE.
