GRAND ISLAND, Nebraska --Talana S. Chamberlain, 54, of St. Paul, died Wednesday, Oct.26, 2011, at St. Francis Medical Center.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in St. Paul. Caroline Hellerich will officitate.

Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.

Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul is in charge of arrangements.

Talana was born Aug.9, 1957, in McCook to Harry W. J. and Georgia Y. (Hager) Blankenship, II.

She was raised and attended school in McCook. She attended Mid Plains Community College where she received her nursing degree as an LPN.

During the course of her life, Talana worked for 10 years in the nursing field and the rest of the time in human services in central Nebraska.

Talana was baptized in 1989 in the Baptist Church in North Platte.

She was a very giving and loving person.

Talana loved flowers and doing craft work.

She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary in McCook.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Follett of Columbus and Tyler Chamberlain of Lincoln; one daughter, Tasha Miller and her significant other, Tobey Benson of Grand Island; six grandchildren, Ashlynn, C.J., Matthew, Jacob, Ethan and Harmony; her mother, Georgia of Stanton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Randy and Monica Blankenship of McCook and David and Sarah Blankenship of Minneapolis, Kansas; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Penny and Jim Bendorf of Stanton and Kim Spargo of Lincoln; her significant other, James Bartlett of Brighton, Colorado and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harry.
