McCOOK, Nebraska -- Rosetta Marie Jensen, 53, died Saturday (Aug. 7, 2010) at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
She was born April 8, 1957, in McCook; the daughter of Gerald W. and Rose E. (Howard) Geihsler. Rosetta grew up in McCook where she graduated from McCook High School in 1975, and attended McCook Community College. She was previously married to Jerry Neiman and Joseph Knight and on Dec. 31, 1990 married John C. Jensen.
Rosetta worked many places including at Fuller's Family Restaurant, but was best known as 'Susie.' She was a wife, mother and daughter who enjoyed reading, crafts, and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Geihsler; sister-in-law, Darlene Geihsler; and step-daughter, Thasha Jensen.
She is survived by her husband, John Jensen; mother, Rose E. Geihsler; two sons, Jason and Eric Knight, both of McCook; daughters, Christi Knight and Brandi Bussard, both of McCook; step-sons, Patrick Millison of McCook, John Millison of Salina, Kansas; step-daughters, Ashley and Anna Heberly of Salina; brothers, Eugene Geihsler and wife, Dixie of Indianola, Nebraska, Kevin Geihsler and wife, Roxann of McCook; and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and adopted family members.
Funeral services are Thursday, 10:30 a.m., at Herrmann Memorial Chapel in McCook with Pastor Gary Howitt officiating. Cremation will follow the service and inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in McCook.
At her request, viewing will be family only on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Friends may sign her register on Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Herrmann Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given in her name and left at Herrmann Funeral Home.
