Robert John Hoff

McCOOK, Neb. — Robert John Hoff, age 67, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, at his home in rural McCook.

Robert was born on Feb. 10, 1950, to Rueben “Duke” and Mabel Eileen (Kentopp) Hoff, Sr. in McCook. He graduated from McCook High School in 1970.

He worked with his father in Duke’s Body Shop. Later, he worked for Burlington Northern Rail Road and the last few years, he worked for Youngs Action Service.

Robert enjoyed fishing and bowling. In his youth, he was able to raise a German Shepherd Dog to be a Seeing Eye dog.

Robert is survived by two daughters, Connie Anderson and Heather Garza; sister-in-law, Rosalie Hoff of McCook; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, John, sister, Sandra Greenlee and her husband, Marvin; and brother, Rueben Jr.

Memorial graveside services will be 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug.15, 2017, at Riverview Cemetery with Pastor Steve Bales officiating.
