Jayne Lyons died on December 18, 2024 at her home in Oxaca, Mexico.  Jayne had worked all her adult life for organizations that supported maternal and children's heath in developing countries.  Some of these organizations were USAID, Pathfinders, and Save the Children.  She had lived and worked in Guatemala, Bolivia, and Tanzania, caring for mothers and children and implementing plans and procedures to ensure their health.

Jayne leaves behind two children, Eva and Colin.

Jayne is interred in Wauneta, Nebraska, with her parents.  

Just a few months before her unexpected death, she attended her 55th class reunion in McCook.  It was the first class reunion for the Class of 1969 that she participated in.  Jayne had a wonderful time at her reunion and loved getting to see her classmates again.
