David L. Buckley
MINNEOLA – David L. Buckley, 74, died Sunday, January 25, 2026 at his home in Minneola.
He was born June 6, 1951 at Alliance, Nebraska, the son of Lewis and Delores (Pinske) Buckley. He was a graduate of McCook High School and attended trade school at Western Technical College in Denver. He was a Lineman since 1974, working for Western Power, Aquila and Southern Pioneer. He had been a Minneola resident since 1984, moving from Sumner, Nebraska.
He was a member of Minneola Methodist Church and served on the Minneola City Council for 8 years.
On June 24, 1972 he married Debra King at McCook, Nebraska.
Survivors include: his wife of 53 years, Debra; 2 sons, Caleb Buckley, Ft. Worth, Texas and Seth Buckley and wife Christene, Clovis, New Mexico; 6 grandchildren, Jack, Haely, Nathanial, Kane, Sage and Jade; a brother, Jay Buckley and wife Monica, Cambridge, Nebraska; 3 sisters, Cathy Jones and husband Warren, McCook, Janelle Stoller and husband Jeff, Linn Creek, Missouri; and Tamara Scott, McCook.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Nathanial Buckley in 2002 and a brother, Richard Buckley.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 am Saturday, January 31, 2026 at the Minneola Methodist Church with Scott Tilley and Rev. Kip Ryherd officiating. Burial will follow in the Appleton Township Cemetery, Minneola. Visitation with the family present will be Friday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Minnis Mortuary, Minneola.
