Steven C. Simeon, 70, of Kearney, died Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Mt. Carmel Home in Kearney.
Steven Charles Simeon was born May 5, 1949 in McCook, Nebraska to Robert and Bertha (Thummel) Simeon. He was raised in McCook and was a graduate of McCook High School. On April 14, 1973, he was united in marriage to Lynn Hogeland. Steve worked at Grayson Tool Company in Minden as a welder.
Steve enjoyed fishing, Nebraska football and spending time with his grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Nicole Simeon and her fiancé, Jerry Preston of Almena, Kansas and Megan Vasquez and her husband, Jerad of Kearney; grandchildren, Kelsey and Graeme Raburn and Gage and Kinley Vasquez; mother, Bertha Simeon; brother, Robert Simeon of Kearney; sister, Debra Peacock and her husband, Jack or Lincoln; sister-in-law, Judith Medina and her husband, Joseph of Campbell; brother-in-law, Thomas Hogeland and his wife, Valerie of Hildreth; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Steve was preceded in death by his wife, Lynn Simeon; father, Robert P Simeon; brother, Joe Simeon and his wife, Krin; sister, Linda Simeon; nieces, Shelly Egenberger and Susan Thompson; nephews, Michael Hogeland and Terry Thompson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arnold and Irene Hogeland.
