I lived in Grand Island, Ne from 1974 to 1987, then I moved to Lincoln. I work at the same place since I moved here. I don't get back to McCook much now that my son lives here in Lincoln. I'm keeping an eye on my 86 yr old mother. She does have an apartment in an assisted living place, but she doesn't drive. I still love going to a movie once in awhile and keep occupied between work and mom. I also have a couple brothers here as well.

I loved football season. I believe there were committees each week assigned. We get together in our "driveway" and make up all the Bison Football Players signs with their names. We'd go around and hang them in the hallways every week. It was a BIG deal! The "gang" would race on Monday mornings to grab our boyfriend's name off the wall and keep them on our wall in our bedroom. I also thought it was a blast decorating for Homecoming all the islands on Norris Avenue. That brings back lots of sweet memories.
