Obituary
Kathryn Denise (Campbell) Hock, age 76, of Culbertson, NE passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026, in Imperial, NE.
Kathy was born July 24, 1949, in McCook, NE to parents Frank L and Eula K (Cordell) Campbell. She was one of five children who grew up in Trenton, NE and then later moved to rural Culbertson. Kathy attended District 25 School through the 8th grade and then attended McCook Schools, graduating in the Class of 1967. After high school she attended St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in Lincoln, NE and graduated in the Class of 1970. Kathy then attended the University of Kearney, obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics.
Kathy married the love of her life, George J Hock, on April 20, 1974, in McCook. They made their family home north of Culbertson and have five children. Kathy spent her time gardening, farming, sewing and raising her family. Kathy also spent forty-eight years as a Registered Nurse and retired from Community Hospital in McCook in 2018. In retirement, she enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and doing many sewing projects.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Anne Elizabeth; father and mother-in-law, Leslie and Maxine Hock; and brothers in law, Bernie Hock, Steve Schendt, John Sutton, and Maj. Michael Sullivan USAF, Retired.
Those left to celebrate her memory are her husband, George Hock of Culbertson, NE; sons, Adam (Meagan) Hock of Ankeny, IA; Matthew (April) Hock, Andrew Hock and Edward Hock, all of Culbertson, NE; daughter, Elizabeth (Herb) Ryan of Indianola, NE; eleven grandchildren, Madison, George, Alexandra, Benedict, Anna, Travis, Asher, Hannah, Vyla, Joseph, and Owen; siblings, Paul Campbell of Culbertson, NE, Rita (Bob) Johnson of Kearney, NE, Royce (Joan) Campbell of Columbus, NE; brothers in law, Brad (Mary Jo) Hock, Greg Hock and Rocky (JoAnn) Hock, all of Culbertson, NE; sisters in law, Carol Hock of McCook, NE, Jeannine Schendt of Lawrence, NE, Lori (Jeff) Shaddock of McCook, NE, Angela (Ron) Rhetus of Lincoln, NE, Col. Annata Sullivan USAF, Retired of Lincoln, NE, MaryBeth (Bill) Mines of Warsaw, MO, and Lisa (Byron) Merrill of Lincoln, NE; as well as many nieces, nephews and a host of many friends.
