BACHE, Oklahoma -- Michael Olmstead Wacker, 65 of Bache, Oklahoma, died Feb. 12, 2013, in the comfort of his home after a short battle with cancer.

A celebratory memorial service will be held Saturday, March 2 at 5 p.m. at the McAlester Country Club. Arrangements are under direction of Chaney-Harkins of McAlester.

Michael was born on Oct. 6, 1947, in McCook, Nebraska. He was the third son of Fred Sr. and Margaret (Olmstead) Wacker. He graduated from McCook High School and obtained a Business Associate degree from Adams State College in Alamosa, Colorado.

He was the youngest and a life member of the McCook Elks Lodge and McAlester Lodge 533. He was a member of the NRA. He was a founder and partner in the Pari-Mutuel Pigs, PIG, Inc. that introduced pig racing and pig roasts in Hitchcock County, Nebraska.

Michael played football in high school and was a true Nebraska Cornhusker. He enjoyed Nebraska tailgating all over the country in his RV with Dianna. He also enjoyed many games from pitch to poker, boating and fishing, quail hunting, quick wit, afternoons with good friends, and all the pleasures of the plains.

Mr. Wacker was a rancher and owner of W.E.W. Cattle Co. and Beverly Cattle Co. in Nebraska and Wacker Cattle Co. in Arkansas. He was also a restaurateur, owning Mick's Private Club on the Arkansas state line and in Apache Junction, Arizona where he met and married Dianna where they owned Wacker's Grille.

In 1996 they relocated to Krebs, Oklahoma to own All American Homes, a logistics office with Dynasty Transportation. He retired in Bache, Oklahoma and built Wacker Ranch RV Park and putting his lifetime business skills and creative planning to work by gardening with his children, mowing his ranch, FOX news, and enjoying ranching and traveling with his wife.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 23 years, Dianna Sue (Overton) Wacker of the estate; brother, Robert Wacker and wife, Bonnie of McCook, Nebraska.; dear sister-in-law, Doris Wacker of Centerton, Arkansas; son, Christopher Michael Wacker and wife, Jane of Bugtussle, Oklahoma; daughter, Christina Margaret Elaine Wacker of Krebs, Oklahoma; beloved mother-in law, Sue Overton; and step children, Andy and Jeannie Smith of San Antonio, Texas, Rodney and Lisena Smith of Antelope, California, Susan Green of Ft. Worth, Texas, Michael and Rachael Brazil of Blaine, Minnesota; grandchildren, Brittany, Brianna, Kaitilyn, Justin, Alexander, James, Roberto, Kyle, Cayden, Cora Lee and Riley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Michael was preceeded in death by his parents, Fred Sr. and Margaret Wacker and beloved brother, Fredrick D. Wacker.

He was of Episcopalian faith.
