Lynda V. Springer, 74, passed away on July 21, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Society of Decatur County. She was born on March 3, 1947 in McCook, NE to William and Wilma (Shaw) Martin. Lynda grew up on a farm near Lebanon, NE. She graduated from McCook High School in 1965 and on August 1st of that year married Loyal Springer in Lebanon, NE. Together they had two daughters, Sheila and Shelly. She ran the Fence Post Café in Lebanon, NE for 10 years and worked at a floral store in McCook for a while. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and several different quilting clubs. Lynda loved to cross stitch and crochet and enjoyed being in her yard and tending to her flowers. Lynda loved it when family would come over so she could bake for everyone. Trips to the mountains was one of her favorite things to do. Lynda was survived by her daughter, Shelly Macfee of Oberlin, KS; grandchildren: Kaden Macfee of Oberlin, KS, Taylor (Logan) Fortin of Oberlin, KS, Madison Macfee of Oberlin, KS, Landen Macfee of Oberlin, KS, Rachael Ritter of Selden, KS, Danica Ritter of Selden, KS, and Chris Springer of Goodland, KS; great grandchildren: Lynex Fortin, Lawson Fortin and Rostin Springer and brother-in-law, BJ Burroughs of Wichita, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Loyal; daughter, Sheila Ritter and sister, Dorothy Burroughs.
