After graduating college, I was in school administration and I was Student Union Director in California and Albuquerque. In 1978 Iwas appointed by Pres. Reagan to Special Advisory Board to Sec. of Ag and also, was reappointed by Pres. Bush. I was insturmental in getting the Payment- In -Kind through Congress.

In 1982 I moved a large truck line that I owned to Lubbock, Texas and sold the truck line in 1987, but retained the brokerage authority and have been doing freght brokerage ever since that time. I presently have 64 offices throughout US and Mexico doing approx. $200M a year in sales. My son and son-in-law are presently running the business so I only have to work 4 to 6 hours a week. The rest of the time, we try to travel some in our RV, enjoy our backyard swimming pool and pool house in Lubbock; or spend some time at our 2nd home in a resort community in Denton, TX that always has lots of activities.
