MCCOOK, Neb. -- Allan M. Bishop, age 71, passed away Monday, Jan. 30, 2017, at his home in McCook.

Allan was born to Archie M. and Regina "Maxine" (Carpenter) Bishop on May 30, 1945, in Flint, Mich. He graduated from McCook High School in 1963.

He enjoyed farming. In his free time, he loved following his grandchildren's activities, showing cattle and roping.

Allan is survived by his sons, Mark and Brenda Bishop of Rudy, Ark., Michael Bishop of Hamlet, Neb., and Christopher and Samantha Bishop of Denver, Colo.; and four grandchildren, Kayla, Alek, Austin and Haleigh.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, one hour prior to service.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home with Terry McCorkle officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery.
